Recently, I read this interesting article online that gives hair dresser’s tips on how to communicate with their clients so that their customers LOVE them and want to keep coming back. I thought that these lessons could apply to all of us, in many aspects of our lives! So here they are, Top 5 Tips to make others feel good and love you:

1.) Whoever you are, whatever you do, you **don’t have to be a stereotype**. Skip the expected and surprise those you talk to with interesting, intriguing and relevant questions that get them engaged in speaking to you.

2.) Learn to **Ask Open Ended Questions.** Isn’t nice to actually have a conversation and not feel like you are interviewing someone!?

3.) Learn to Listen. Listening means hearing what is said and reacting, not thinking about what you want to say next and you’re just waiting your turn.

4.) Keep Notes. Why not jot down a few notes to help you remember. You may or may not return to them. The act of writing it down may be enough. Even so, if you need a recall, you know where to find the information.

5.) Keep Practicing. Eh, sometimes it doesn’t go the way you want it to. Shrug it off and try again. You can also practice in the mirror at home or even while driving in the car.
